Old St James Church, Doncaster Rd, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham, South Yorkshire S63 7DN. Now demolished. Some speculation as to whether the cellars remaining are protected under the conservation ruling?

      We think it was to do with the new housing estate built behind it

    Does anyone know who owns this land now?

    It would be ideal to expand the army cadet facility and provide more facilities for Wath and local youngsters

      Not sure, but we believe that there is a conservation order protect the cellars. Could be wrong. Try contact RMB Council planning.

    the owner died, his wife still owns the land. She lives in a house on sandymount rd/ bottom of doncaster road opposite. The houses behind it have been there 20 plus years. Tried to sell it to make flats but us who live on the street st james appealed against it so now it’s just unused land, council dont care
